BrandVoice rewrite — step by step.
Paste any copy. Pick a preset voice (or extract one from a URL). Get 3 rewrites at different intensity levels. Done in under a minute.
Open the app.
Go to /apps/brandvoice/rewrite/ — or from /portal/ → My Apps → BrandVoice rewrite tile.
Paste your copy.
Paste up to 5,000 characters (~750-1000 words) into the textarea. Anything works: a product description, cold email, homepage headline, paragraph from a blog post, ad copy.
Pick a voice.
Two paths:
A · Pick a preset voice
Click one of the 6 preset voice buttons. Each is a fully-developed persona, not just a tone label.
| Voice | Best for |
|---|---|
| Operator-grade (Adytum) | SMB ops, founder peer-to-peer, no-fluff B2B |
| Warm + Crafted | DTC food/CPG, hospitality, maker brands |
| Austere Tech | Documentation, product copy, technical writing |
| Bold Editorial | Op-eds, thought leadership, opinion-led content |
| Natural / Eco | Sustainability, provenance, slow brands |
| Dry / Wry | Deadpan blog-era voice, irreverent newsletters |
B · Extract a voice from a URL
If your brand has its own voice but doesn't match any preset, paste your homepage URL in the "extract" field. We fetch the page, analyze the writing style, and build an ephemeral voice profile from it (1 credit on Plus, 2/day free).
The extracted voice shows up under the preset buttons. Click it to use it.
(Plus customer) Enter your account email.
Under the voice picker, there's an optional "Plus customer?" field. If you fill it with the email tied to your Adytum subscription, the back-end charges 1 credit and bypasses the 5/day in-memory rate limit.
Skip the field if you're on the free preview.
Click "Rewrite copy →" and wait ~10 seconds.
You'll get three variants back at different rewrite intensities:
- Close — stays very near the original wording. Touches up cliché phrases, tightens weak sentences. Most readers wouldn't notice the rewrite at the word level.
- Moderate — restructures sentences for the voice's pacing. Keeps paragraphs + claims, but the rhythm changes.
- Hard — restructures from meaning up. New sentence order, tighter ways to make the same points. Highest impact, biggest risk of voice drift.
Look at the "What's next?" suggestions.
Under the variants, you'll see cross-app suggestions:
- Rewrite more copy in the same voice (just paste another piece)
- Extract from another URL to capture a different brand voice
- Score your rewrite against your brand with BrandCheck (5 credits)
